BlackLemon studied media art for advertising at The School for Visual Arts in NYC. She built a successful portfolio which led her to an apprenticeship position at J. Walter Thompson, USA. That was the beginning of a very successful career in adversting because within only a year's time that apprenticeship led to an Art Director's position in print and TV advertising. Carol worked for 8 years on Fortune 500 accounts like the Ford Motor account.
Carol left the advertising world and continued as a freelance artist for various businesses like Radio City Music Hall and the Revlon makeup account among many others. She and her husband began their family and she eventually returned to the advertising world on a management level for several years.
Carol now resides in West Orange, New Jersey with her husband and two children. She has her own art business, BlackLemon Creative Source where she creates and sells her fine art paintings, designs and manages websites for various clients and works on various commissioned art projects. Carol also works in a law office on an administrative level which has afforded her the opportunity to continue her passion to create art without the pressures and demands of most occupations. Carol is following her dream and creating art with a passion.
